Gemma Maxwell
Early Years Strategic Lead
Gemma will work within the Two settings to co-ordinate a shared strategy for EYFS across the Oak Partnership Trust. She will also provide support to schools in delivering the EYFS element of the Excellence Strategy, including the development of phonics, training and School Improvement consultancy.
Gemma has an extensive range of EYFS experience including having recently been the manager of Little Herons Nursery and in EY for the last 16 years.
Nadia Conner
Deputy Manager
Nadia has been a member of The Oak Partnership for a few years starting her journey with our sister Nursery Woodlands Nursery in Ruishton.
We were lucky to be able to appoint Nadia during lockdown where she became a permanent member of Little Herons.
Nadia has quickly become a key member of the team and has since been appointed the position of Deputy Manager.
Nadia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Nursery and has recently completed her foundation degree.
Adele Maxwell
SENDco/room leader
Adele started with us In March 2021 and has been a fantastic addition to the Nursery and has many years of experience working with young and vulnerable children.
Adele has a passion for ensuring that all children are offered equal opportunities and experiences to ensure they can learn and develop, recognising that as individuals children learn and develop and their own pace and in their own unique ways.
Adele prides herself on ensuring that children are given the support they need at the earliest opportunity and has a proven track record of obtaining support from outside agencies quickly and effectively, ensuring outcomes are met.
Lucia Baker
Nursery Practitioner
Lucia joined Little Herons when it first opened in 2016 and has had over 9 years experience of working with young children.
Lucia is such a fun, warm, caring and helpful member of our team and is always striving to help and support both children and adults and as such has become a very key member of our team.
Emily Walker
Nursery Practitioner
Emily Joined Little Herons in September 2017 as an apprentice. Emily has since completed her apprenticeship and gained her NVQ level 3 Early Years educator qualification.
Upon completing her NVQ, Emily became a permanent member of the team.
Emily brings with her a very passionate, nurturing, calm and caring approach to support children further their development and ensure that they make the most out of their little Herons experience.
Clarrie Jones
Nusery Practitioner
Clarrie joined the Little Herons team during the first lockdown in 2020.
Clarrie demonstrated a natural ability to understand, support and work with young children and with her calm and fun approach she has been a fantastic and valuable addition to the Nursery
Emily Cham
Nursery Practitioner
Emily started with Little Herons in 2020 and brings with her lots of experience in childcare.
Emily is very passionate and is always in search of ideas on how to support children and the setting alike.
Emily is extremely creative and is always thinking of new creative ways to further development.
Roxy Depledge
Nursery Practitioner
Roxy joined Little Herons in June 2020 as an apprentice and has become a permanent member of the team upon her completion.
Roxy is a natural when caring for children and offers such a vibrant presence with the ability to create some wonderful continuous provision activities.
Roxy is very passionate about ensuring that children make the most out of their time here at Little Herons and has quickly become a very valued member of the team.
Lucy Redfern
Nursery Practitioner
Lucy joined Little Herons Nursery in February 2022 and has settled into the Nursery well, adapting to our vision and values.
Lucy brings with her a wealth of experience and had also recently became a Mum herself before joining us.
Lucy offers a very nurturing and welcoming nature to the children and can often be found with groups of children who are drawn to her kind and caring nature.
Sasha Warren
Nursery Administrator
Sasha joined Little Herons in December 2021.
Sasha has plenty of extensive administrator experience, although Little Herons is her first appointed role within a Nursery and is very keen to build upon her already vast knowledge.
Sasha offers a very warm and welcome presence to both staff, visitors and parents present and new and is always keen to ensure that all queries are handled with the upmost professionalism.
