Swimming, Night Line, Archery, Bouldering, Stream Study and Team Challenges.
Another fabulous day at Great Wood camp! The site this morning was stunning - blue skies, bird song and the bubbling of the stream unbroken by any road noise at all. Amazingly for our first night away, we all enjoyed a really good night's sleep and after a cooked breakfast, we split into groups and enjoyed a carousel of activities that everyone will encounter before the end of the week. Favourites today included:
Night Line - a blindfold obstacle course through the mud, stream and woods around the site that was taken on with courage and some real belly laughs.
Archery - giving Robin Hood a real run for his money
Swimming - in the open air surrounded by the amazing and towering forest
Bouldering - so new, it is not even on their own website - traverse climbing and problem solving that looks really easy until it is your own go!
Lots of tired children (and adults) tonight - hoping now for another well deserved sleep and some fine weather for our adventures at Kilve tomorrow!
